County Council lodges HS2 petition

Warwickshire County Council has lodged a petition to Parliament against the latest proposed amendments to the HS2 phase one scheme.

The petition contains the county council’s summary of objections to aspects of the recent HS2 hybrid Bill amendments, known as Additional Provisions 4 (AP4).

The process of petitioning the HS2 select committee is the chance to secure mitigation, compensation or further amendments to the scheme. Warwickshire County Council has petitioned in order to protect the county from the impacts of the scheme.

It is the third petition submitted by the county council, following the challenge on the initial hybrid bill and on AP2 amendments.
