Local authorities prepare for HS2 consultation

The public consultation into the proposal to develop the country’s high speed rail is set to be launched on Monday. 

The HS2 consultation will seek views on both the strategy for high speed rail and the details of the proposed route between London and Birmingham.

Warwickshire County Council will be examining in detail all of the information made available and will consider the business case for the scheme, as well as looking at topics such as the visual impact and the anticipated effects of noise and vibration, the impact on ecology, heritage and archaeology, agricultural land quality, farm severance and other community issues.
